Merlin is my gorgeous, working bred border Collie. I bought him from a farmer in Betley, Cheshire. His date of birth is 11/6/08. Here are photos of him from 7 weeks old upwards and these will be added to as he gets older.
Yes he is offlead near to sheep here. They belong to a farmer friend of my own friend who owns the field they graze in and Merlin is fortunately so bonded with me that chasing sheep is not on his agenda, nor any other animal. But please do not try this when walking near livestock with your own dogs! Not all dogs will react like he does!
In memory of my first collie, Jasper, who had to be given sleep after a severe stroke aged 13 & 1/2 in 2003. Rest in peace my boy and we will meet again one day. x
